The 200 Show is Coming!

Design the card and poster for this year’s 200 Show

Every year the Studio Art area has an exhibition of student work from all of the 200 level courses. We will print a postcard and a poster to announce the upcoming exhibition and we want you to design it! This is a great opportunity to have hundreds, if not thousands, of people see your work. It’s especially valuable if you are building a portfolio of design work. If nothing else you can brag to your friends and family! Start thinking and give us your best work. Have fun and good luck!

Deadline: October 18, 5:00
Voting will take place on October 19 & 20

T-shirt design contest deadline extended

NEW DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 9!!!!
Studio Art at SLU needs a team shirt and we are asking you to design it! Use pen and ink on paper or the digital equivalent in Illustrator to create a design that expresses the pride we feel for our wonderful, unique studio art program and students. The shirt will be silk screened in white ink on a SLU blue t-shirt or blue on white, so keep that in mind as you work. Include the words “Studio Art” or “Art” and “Saint Louis University” or “SLU”. When you are done, make a print-out of a digital design or a photocopy of a hand-drawn design and post your entry on the wall in Xavier Hall where we hold the postcard design contests. Put your name and email address on the back of your entry! (If you already entered but didn’t put your name on the back, please go back and do so.) You don’t need to post the design in its full size, but make sure you print it out or make a copy that is large enough to be clearly seen. Seniors– what a great item this would be to add to your portfolio!

On the Friday and Monday after the contest, there will be voting by students and faculty for the best entry.

Every Studio Art major and minor will receive a t-shirt for free. Sometimes the faculty will wear
